Happy Thanksgiving week! I’m thankful to be spending a few days in South Carolina with my parents before Andrew and I continue our journey North to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with my in-laws in New York. It’s been a beautiful few days here, and I’m always happy to spend time in such a peaceful setting. So here’s your Thanksgiving edition of Coffee Talk – enjoy!
Looking to keep things lighter this Thanksgiving? Same here. I’ve been looking through this roundup of healthier Thanksgiving sides for inspo.
Heading further north has me dreading the cold – so I’m already considering all the ways in which I can bundle up. I’m loving a good chunky, knit scarf for layering – scroll through some of my faves below.
Always on the hunt for the next binge-watch, I finally caved into all the recommendations and started watching Outlander on STARZ. Adapted from the bestselling books, Outlander tells the story of Claire Randall. After serving as a British Army nurse in World War II, Claire is enjoying a second honeymoon in Scotland with husband Frank, an MI6 officer looking forward to a new career as an Oxford historian, when she is transported to 1743 and into a mysterious world where her freedom and life are threatened.
I’m looking forward to a few days off from work over the Thanksgiving holiday, when I can hopefully get lost in a good book. Next on my list is Krysten Ritter’s Bonfire, billed as a “gripping, tightly wound suspense novel about a woman forced to confront her past in the wake of small-town corruption.” I can’t wait.
