It’s hard to believe that in just a few short weeks we will be celebrating Thanksgiving. I know that I sound like a broken record – but the months since Labor Day seem to have passed in the blink of an eye to me. While we’ve had some snaps of cooler weather down here over the past few weeks (e.g. lows in the high-50s and highs in the mid-70s), I’m looking forward to experiencing some authentic autumn days in South Carolina and New York over the Thanksgiving holiday. I’ve always had an affinity for cozy layers like this long, over-sized cardigan (which happens to be under $40). In fact, I’ve been known to blast the A/C at home in Florida just so that I can snuggle up on the couch in longer sweaters and shearling slippers. Chalk it up to the four years I spent freezing my a$$ off in Central New York for college, but I’m always most comfortable when I’m cocooned in warm knits. This neutral, layered look is one of my favorites that I’ve put together this fall, and I can’t wait to rock this outfit on my trips North. Paired with structured accessories like a crisp, silk camisole, loafers and a felt fedora, this casual sweater transforms from something you can lounge in to an outfit appropriate for holiday gatherings.
