Midweek Must-Haves: My Workout Essentials

Like most people, I have trouble maintaining a consistent workout routine – especially with my seemingly nonstop travel schedule. But I’ve recently been trying to get back into the swing of things, and switch up my routine while I’m at it. I’ve been using ClassPass to keep my exercise schedule varied – this monthly subscription allows me to try classes at a variety of boutique studios in my area, without paying boutique fitness prices. In a typical week, I like to do three days of running, and work in two additional classes – I prefer barre, yoga, and spin. And because it’s easier to stay motivated when you feel cute in your exercise gear, I’m rounding up all my essentials for my favorite activities.

Running:

I’m currently training for my fourth half marathon. I’ve been using the virtual coach Aaptiv for guided runs, and my new wireless headphones have been life-changing. Other essentials for me are crops, a lightweight, moisture-wicking top, and a supportive sports bra.

 

Yoga/Barre:

My essentials for yoga and barre are virtually the same – full-length leggings, a high-necked sports bra, and a strappy tank. I’ve also been loving these mesh barre socks, and this palm print yoga mat is swoon-worthy.

 

Spin:

For spin, I gravitate towards cropped leggings with cooling cutouts or interesting details, plus an open-backed top and a very large water bottle.
