It’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving is a little over a week away. The holiday season snuck up on me this year thanks to a busy fall, but I’m looking forward to heading north to spend time with family over the next few weeks. For me, no occasion is complete without the perfect outfit, and dressing for the holidays is something of an art form. Thanksgiving in particular is a fun one – because I like to combine fashion with comfort for a day largely spent lounging in front of the TV before indulging in a lot of carbs. This is the perfect outfit for me – a cozy flannel, checked top is balanced out by a structured cut and decorative tie-sleeves (see what I did there?). Plus, the forgiving shape will hide that inevitable Thanksgiving dinner food baby. I paired it with distressed black jeans that have just the right amount of stretch – but if your family isn’t down for the distressed look, regular old black skinnies will do the trick (and this pair is only $45). I dressed up my denim and flannel look with standout accessories, like these embellished slides (SO comfortable) and a pair of statement earrings (get them for up to 25% off through tomorrow!).
